About the role

Fortum P2X team is building a hydrogen pilot in Loviisa, Källa area. The pilot will not be operational this summer but the instructions for the operation are being developed and installations are going on.

As Summer Trainee, H2 Pilot Operation you will, together with the operations team, generate standard operating procedures for the pilot. SOPs are the operating instructrions that operators will follow in their everyday work when the pilot is in operation. You will also help the team to supervise the installation work. In this position you will learn the electrolysis plant and its operations thoroughly.

This position is a great way to gain practical experience and grow your skills in P2X technology!

About you

We are looking for an advanced engineering student who has some experience in process plant operation, maintenance or plant design. Your field of study can be process, energy or electrical/automation engineering.

We hope that you apply for the position if you are:

• Pursuing a degree in process, energy or electrical/automation engineering and at the later stages of your studies.
• Fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English. The SOPs will be written in English. Communication on work site is mainly in Finnish.
• Able to read PI diagrams.
• Able to produce readable and logical technical text in English language.
• Having some experience in process plant operation, maintenance or plant design.
• Committed to the work you do, contribute to the team’s success and curious to learn new skills in hydrogen technology.

• Receive an introduction to your tasks and be supported by Fortum P2X team and the operational team of the H2 pilot.
• Work with interesting and diverse tasks with real responsibility of creating reasonable and safe operating procedures for our pilot.
• Work mainly at our pilot construction site in Källa, Loviisa. There is a possibility to do writing work partially at our head office in Keilalahti, Espoo.
• Learn about our company, the energy industry, and the sustainable solutions that we are working with.
• Can network with other trainees.
