About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and active Sustainability Trainee to join our Corporate Sustainability team. This position is a great way to gain practical experience in sustainability within a large company and the energy industry.
As a Sustainability Trainee, you will:

Coordinate Fortum’s response to Ecovadis sustainability assessment

Support the development of ESG risk management processes

Coordinate gap analysis of stakeholder engagement processes that are part of ESG impact assessment based on different regulatory frameworks, e.g., CSRD and CSDDD

Research and analyze best practices, prepare presentations, background documents, and recommendations for decision-making
-
Support other sustainability team tasks on a demand basis
The exact focus areas and assignments will be defined based on your background, experience, and interests. The position is located at Fortum’s headquarters.
About you
We are looking for committed students or recent graduates eager to learn and contribute to our purpose: to power a world where people, businesses, and nature thrive together.

Have completed minimum three years of studies in sustainability, supply chain management, risk management, social sciences, or business

Have an understanding of, or interest in, sustainability concepts, risk management, supply chain sustainability, stakeholder engagement, or due diligence processes

Are development-oriented with a hands-on attitude, eager to learn, able to work independently, take initiative, and assume responsibility

Have good communication and networking skills, and are fluent in written and spoken English
