About the role
We are looking for two Sustainability Trainees to join our Corporate Sustainability team. The positions are a great way to gain practical experience in the sustainability area within the energy industry.
- One of the positions focuses on the environmental sustainability, and will work for example on leading and coordinating Fortum’s CDP (Climate Disclosure Project) response for Climate, as well as on developing environmental criteria and reporting related to procurement.
- The other position focuses on social sustainability and on developing sustainability criteria for specific products and raw materials, in collaboration with sustainability and procurement experts.
Both trainees will research and analyze industry initiatives and best practices, prepare presentations, create background documents as well as recommendations for decision-making. You will also support other sustainability team tasks on a demand basis.
About you
We’re looking for committed students or recent graduates eager to learn more and contribute to our purpose: to power a world where people, businesses and nature thrive together.
To succeed in the position, we hope you have:
- Minimum two years of studies in sustainability, supply chain management, business, data/technology, energy, social sciences or ecology.
- Understanding or interest either in supply chain sustainability, business and human rights, due diligence processes or environmental sustainability and climate change.
- Development-oriented and hands-on attitude, eagerness to learn new things. You are able to work quite independently and to take initiative and responsibility.
- Good communication and networking skills. You have fluent written and spoken skills in English.
