Senior Platform Engineer

Fortum are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 (M365) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our CloudOps & Platform Engineering team. 

In this position you can be based in our offices in Solna, Espoo or Wroclaw. 

About the role

In this role, you will be part of the M365 & IAM technical squad, responsible for administering and optimizing our M365 Platform and IAM solutions, developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts, and managing infrastructure automation. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the high availability and security of our hybrid environment.

In your role, your responsibility is to implement, manage, and support M365 platform and services at a technical level. In more detail, the following is part of your responsibilities: 

• Administer and optimize the Windows Server ecosystem, hybrid AD infrastructure and other IAM solutions.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and configuration management.
• Implement and manage infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code) and configuration management.
• Monitor, implement, and support live distributed production systems.
• Ensure high availability and clustering technologies are in place.
• Address security implications and challenges created by public cloud deployments, especially Azure.
• Resolve escalated cases from the service desk and other engineers.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

About You

• Hands-on technical experience in the administration of Windows Server ecosystems.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting language.
• Experience with Entra and/or Azure (AWS or OCI is a plus).
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code) and configuration management.
• Proven experience in working on live distributed production systems (monitoring, implementation, and support).
• Working knowledge of networking - DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, Routing, Web.
• Experience in designing and implementing IAM/PAM solutions.
• Knowledge of high availability/clustering technologies.
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
