Project Portfolio Manager

We are looking for a Project Portfolio Manager to act as a key player in shaping the future of Fortum’s Corporate Customers and Markets business unit.
 

About the role

As a Project Portfolio Manager, you will be part of a team based in Espoo and Stockholm, driving the governance of our development portfolio. Our team leads and coordinates development activities, manages projects, and contributes hands-on to improving trading and dispatching systems and processes. Your work will support market adaptation, enhance value creation, and contribute to business growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the project portfolio, including reporting and compiling long-term roadmap  in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

• Developing project management practices and ensuring efficient governance practices

• Overseeing and facilitating investment process according to corporate level guidelines

• Leading and coordinating development projects and initiatives, including:

  • Creating and executing project plans and roadmaps for complex strategic initiatives

  • Budget planning, follow-up, and reporting for projects under your responsibility

About you

You are an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with both business and IT stakeholders. You have a structured approach to project portfolio and project management and can operate effectively in an ever-evolving market.

We are looking for someone with:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience

• Proven experience in project portfolio management and leading complex development projects

• Ability to manage multiple development activities and projects simultaneously

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to make decisions under uncertainty

• Drive to learn and develop

• Excellent written and spoken English skills

• Strong understanding of trading operations, IT systems, and business process landscapes is a benefit
