Fortum’s Wind and Solar business area is responsible for the development of wind and solar business. Our aim is to grow especially in our home market where conditions for solar power are excellent. Wind and solar power play a crucial role in decarbonization of our societies. 

 

The location for this position is flexible and can be in any region of Sweden. We have offices for example in Stockholm, Östersund, Göteborg, Karlstad and Malmö.  

 

About the role 

As a Project Developer, you'll play a key role in supporting our project developers as they collaborate with a variety of external and internal stakeholders, including landowners, politicians, authorities, neighbors, associations, consultants, and suppliers.  

 

In the role as Project Developer, the following will be part of your responsibilities:  

  • Mapping potential wind and solar project sites 

  • Assisting in lease negotiations 

  • Supporting the permitting process.  

  • You will also take responsibility for arranging landowner meetings and managing lease agreements, along with some administrative tasks that help facilitate the project development process, such as coordinating technical studies.

You will be reporting to the Head of Solar Project Development Sweden. 

 

About you 

To be successful in the role as Project Developer, we see that you bring the following:  

  • A university degree in a relevant field, such as Civil engineering, economics, or business administration 

  • Previous experience from similar working tasks  

  • Strong understanding in solar and renewables energy   

  • Fluency in Swedish and English is essential   

  • Experience with GIS tools, maps, and related programs is highly valued
