As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of selected hedging products and services that help customers make their projects financially feasible through electricity price hedging. Our solutions play a role in enabling future buildout of wind, solar and battery assets.

 

About the role

You will drive product development, support customer cases as a subjectmatter expert, and ensure our sales teams are equipped with the right knowledge and tools. Through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will play a key role in shaping Fortum’s hedging offering for B2B customers.

 

Main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Drive the development and evolution of Fortum’s hedging products, act as a subjectmatter expert in complex customer cases and ensure sales teams have uptodate product knowledge.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including followup, alignment with development teams, and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to execution.
  • Participate in customer projects to ensure offering–customer fit, realistic timelines, and deliver product trainings to internal sales teams.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder networks — internal and external — gathering insights for the product roadmap and influencing key partners through effective communication skills.

 

The position is based either in Espoo, Finland or Solna, Sweden

 

About you

We think you have a couple of years relevant work experience, a suitable academic degree (not limited to business or engineering), and an understanding of Nordic energy markets with preferably knowledge of Fortum’s hedging offering (incl. bankability and ESG). You have a natural ability to explain complex concepts, create highquality documentation to relevant stakeholders. Experience from product development, customerfacing work, or energyrelated commercial environments is considered to your advantage. We will value a quicklearning, proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to influence across teams and countries, and preferably wanting to build a strong internal network.

 

Communicating in English is a must, and you will have an advantage if you also know Finnish and/or Swedish as well.
