Marketing Communications Manager

Perm/Temp:  Regular

Sth Solna, SE

Fortum is on an exciting journey to decarbonize Nordic industries, driving economic prosperity while tackling climate change. In our Corporate Customers & Markets division, we partner with Fortum’s largest industrial clients - a focused, high-impact B2B segment where deep engagement is essential.

We’re now looking for a creative storyteller and content creator to shape Fortum’s voice towards our customers in Sweden. Whether your background is in marketing or another creative field, what matters most is your ability to craft engaging content across formats and use digital channels strategically to engage decision-makers.

About the Role
As a Marketing Communications Manager you’ll lead the creation of digital-first communications that resonate with our customers and elevate Fortum’s presence in Sweden. This includes planning and executing integrated campaigns, expanding our English-language marketing, and contributing to regional initiatives - all with a strong focus on content that informs, inspires, and drives engagement.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute the marketing and communications strategy for prioritized B2B customer segments. Setting clear objectives and core messaging, and implementing multi-channel campaigns that leverage the strengths of each channel.
  • Create and manage high-quality content in Swedish and English, including thought leadership, articles, whitepapers, videos, infographics, and social media content.
  • Develop and run integrated campaigns, using Account-Based Marketing where relevant, ensuring messaging is tailored to specific audiences.
  • Localize and adapt regional content and lead the planning of local events, webinars, and other initiatives  to the Swedish market
  • Leverage marketing tools for continuous improvement by using our CRM, marketing automation platforms, CMS (preferably Drupal), Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software and social media analytics to personalise communication, track engagement KPIs, and continuously improve performance through insights and AI.

About You
You are a creative storyteller who enjoys translating complex topics into clear, engaging content for different audiences. You are comfortable working at pace, adapting messages to different stakeholder mindsets, and bringing your own ideas forward - even challenging existing thinking when needed. You’re persuasive in presenting ideas and can lead projects, working confidently with colleagues across teams in a collaborative, international environment.

You also bring:

  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills in both Swedish and English – able to turn technical or complex information into engaging narratives
  • Hands-on experience creating digital content in multiple formats (e.g. video, visuals, written)
  • High proficiency with modern marketing and design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, CMS systems and marketing automation platforms
  • Ability to adopt new digital tools to bring ideas to life and optimize campaigns
  • Strong understanding of digital channels – social media, web, email, events – and how to adapt messaging for each
  • Solid background in B2B marketing communications (~3–5 years of experience expected, but skills and creativity matter most)
  • Experience in the energy or industrial sector and familiarity with enterprise buyer journeys or account-based marketing is a plus
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills in a cross-functional, international setting
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects
  • Complete fluency and confidence in spoken and written Swedish and English
