Legal Trainee

Perm/Temp:  Temporary

Sth Solna, SE

About the role

We are looking for a driven and digitally minded law student to join our Legal team as a Legal Trainee. This is a part-time position (minimum two days per week) during September 2026 – January 2027, with a possibility to extend.

In this role, you will be part of an international in-house legal function and support the team in a broad range of legal matters across our customers (contract drafting, consumer and marketing law, data protection) and generation (regulatory matters, environmental and real estate law) teams while at the same time being exposed to how we continuously develop the way we work as a legal function. The role offers a practical introduction not only to legal work, but also to how legal support is delivered efficiently in a business environment.

About you

To succeed in this role, we believe that you are a law student at a Swedish university, currently in the later stage of your studies, with strong written and spoken skills in both Swedish and English. You are structured, attentive to detail and have a positive, proactive attitude, and you are comfortable taking initiative and working independently.

A strong interest in digital tools and how they can be used to improve ways of working is essential. You are motivated by understanding how processes can be simplified, structured and developed over time. Previous experience from a law firm or an in-house legal team is an advantage, but not required.

We offer you

As a Legal Trainee at Fortum, you will gain hands-on experience of working in an in-house legal team in an international environment. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, be involved in real business matters and develop your understanding of how legal work is carried out in practice.

We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where you are encouraged to contribute and learn. The position is based in Solna.
