Intraday Trader

About the role

We are looking for an Intraday Trader to Solna United in Stockholm where you will be part of the Intraday Trading team Sweden within Physical Trading. As an Intraday Trader, you will be responsible for Fortum’s Swedish physical intraday trading and balancing market activities. You will be part of a team working on a rotational basis in two shifts 24/7.

What we are looking for

You hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Economics, or are in the final year of these studies. You are passionate about the power market industry and have an interest within trading. Experience from physical power trading is to your advantage but not a requirement.
You are comfortable in taking risks and enjoy working in a changing market environment. You have a proven analytical and proactive mindset with the ability to grasp the bigger picture while still paying attention to the details. You possess excellent communication and team working skills as well as have the ability to make fast decisions. Fluency in written and spoken English and Swedish is a requirement.

Coporate Customers and Markets (CCM) organisation optimises the best price for electricity production and consumption and hedges earnings from these operations with commodity derivatives far into the future. About 95 TWh of physical electricity trading and about 200 TWh of trading in commodity derivatives pass through CCM each year. We operate in several commodity exchanges such as Nasdaq Commodities and ICE, as well as physical electricity markets, Nord Pool and TGE (Polish Power Exchange). We also operate Fortum’s hydro plants to enable total optimisation of our hydro fleet in the volatile energy market.
