IT Project Manager

Wind and Solar power has a key role in Fortum’s strategy to drive decarbonisation and clean energy demand growth in Nordics. In Fortum’s Wind and Solar Business, we are at the forefront of developing and constructing cutting-edge wind and solar projects to fuel the growth. 

This position offers a hybrid work set up, with the possibility to work from home. You can be located in either Sweden (Solna) or Finland (Espoo). Travels may occur to power plant sites in Finland, Sweden and Norway.

About the role
Wind & Solar IT&PMO (Project Management Office) team creates organizational efficiency and competitive advantage for the business by implementing and continuously improving industry leading digital tools, core business processes and ways of working. 

We are looking for IT Project Manager to join the Team. In this vital position you contribute to success of Wind & Solar business by leading projects to implement IT applications and infrastructure for new wind, solar and hybrid power plants. As a member of IT&PMO team, you have an important role in shaping the future of IT function.

Main responsibility areas include

• Leading projects to implement IT applications and infrastructure needed for constructing, operating and maintaining new wind, solar and hybrid power plants
• Setting up Service Management for IT assets implemented in IT projects
• Development of capabilities needed for successful execution of IT projects

About your skills and experience

• Strong experience on leading IT projects with proven success 
• Certified as a Project Manager
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business administration or other relevant area
• Good change management skills
• Knowledge and experience on renewable energy and OT is an advantage.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills, especially Finnish or Swedish, are highly valued
