We are looking for an experienced, driven and relationship-oriented Customer Director to join our team in Solna, Sweden.
Your mission
In this role in Corporate Customer & Markets (CCM) you’ll be the driving force at the heart of our mission to create strong, strategic partnerships with established industrial companies and support innovative new industrial startups on their journey to success in decarbonization. You will connect with key players in the industry while actively managing and expanding our existing customer base. In addition, you will collaborate with other business areas within Fortum Group to unlock new opportunities and strengthen partnerships across the board. With opportunities to travel and engage directly with clients, this role promises to keep you at the heart of building impactful relationships across diverse industries.

In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to engage with Fortum's comprehensive product portfolio, which includes Commodity Market Access, PPAs, physical supply, portfolio management, Guarantees of Origin, flexibility services, and strategic partnerships in exciting areas such as hydrogen, new nuclear, and new renewable projects (wind, solar, batteries).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Seek out new clients, uncover opportunities for business growth, and establish a thriving client base.
- Deliver engaging presentations, compelling product/service demonstrations, and persuasive pitches to potential clients.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations, confidently address objections, and close sales deals that elevate our impact.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction while identifying areas for partnership growth.
- Maintain records of sales activities in CRM systems and keep customer databases at the forefront of strategic decisions.

What makes you the perfect fit:
- Fluent in English and Swedish, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Extensive experience in sales with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- A solid background in managing large industrial clients, combined with an understanding of the complexities involved in the energy industry.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, particularly in handling intricate contracts with industrial customers.
- Familiarity with large-scale energy contracts—this will be considered a strong advantage.
- Adept at managing relationships and dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills that foster collaboration and drive results.
- Educational credentials such as a university degree, MBA, or other relevant qualifications
