Corporate Relations Manager, Hydro Sweden

Do you have experience in communication and stakeholder management within energy or climate-related topics? We are looking for a Corporate Relations Manager to support our hydro business in Sweden by managing stakeholder relations, communication, and advocacy activities.

 

This is a temporary position for approximately one year due to a parental leave.

 

About the role 

In this role, you will act as a business partner for hydro operations in Sweden, focusing on communication, stakeholder management, and regulatory environment support. 

 
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Planning and executing an integrated communication and stakeholder management plan at local, regional, and national levels 
  • Providing hands-on support to the hydro business in communication and stakeholder-related matters 
  • Acting as a media spokesperson on hydro-related topics in Sweden 
  • Influencing and advising on national and EU-level topics affecting hydro 
  • Securing Fortum’s public license to operate and expand hydro power in Sweden 
  • Aligning and coordinating messaging with other communication departments in Fortum

 

The role requires both strategic planning and operational execution, including close collaboration with communication, reputation, and stakeholder management functions. You will work in close interaction with the hydro business and corporate relations teams. 

 

About you 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

  • At least 5 years of experience in communication and stakeholder management 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English 
  • Strong understanding of energy and climate-related issues 
  • Experience in working with stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels 
  • Ability to plan and execute communication and stakeholder strategies independently 
  • Experience in media interactions and acting as a spokesperson is considered an advantage 
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and align messaging in a complex organisation
