Fortum’s Wind and Solar business area is responsible for the development of wind and solar business. Our aim is to grow especially in our home market where conditions for wind and solar power are excellent. Wind and solar power play a crucial role in decarbonization of our societies. 

 

The location for this position is flexible and can be in any region of Sweden. We have offices for example in Stockholm, Östersund, Göteborg, Karlstad and Malmö. 

 

About the role 

In this role, you will be responsible for creating relevant and engaging content for various communication efforts and ensuring that Fortum's projects are communicated in a way that is rooted in the local culture and creates trust and understanding 

 

In the role as Content Specialist, your key tasks will be the following:  

  • Conduct research on local society and municipalities related to Fortum's wind power projects to ensure a deep local connection. 

  • Monitor and analyze local and regional media coverage related to Fortum's operations. 

  • Create content for different types of channels and activities related to Fortum's wind and solar projects. 

  • The job responsibilities include creating and laying out printed materials, as well as developing and updating web content. 

  • Compose and submit opinion pieces for local media outlets. 

  • Collaboration internally: Work closely with Fortum’s Corporate Relations Businesses (CRB) team to ensure that all efforts are aligned with Fortum's wind and solar communication plan, brand strategy and visual identity. 

 

The Fortum organization has key experts in each area of Wind and Solar (engineering, construction, operation), as well as more business-related experts (procurement, offtake, and strategy) to support you in your work. The final scope of your role in the team will be adapted based on your expertise, experience, but also your interests.  

 

You will report to the Head of Stakeholder Management Sweden 

 

About you 

The following competences will help you to success in the role: 

  • Background in communication, PR, marketing, or a related field, with experience in the media landscape. 

  • A curious and skilled writer with a passion for finding engaging angles that drive engagement.  

  • Deep understanding of rural history, culture, and current challenges, enabling credible and engaged dialogue with the local community. 

  • Knowledge in design and video editing tools such as InDesign, Canva, Photoshop or similar.  

  • Proficiency in social media platforms, web editing tools, and related technologies. 

  • Fluency in Swedish and English is essential.
