About the role
We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager, MRO (Maintenance, repair and operations) to strengthen Fortum's Corporate Procurement team. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and driving the category strategy in MRO, optimizing the spend across Fortum’s businesses, and managing Safety, Quality and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). You will be working with a Fortum-wide perspective and in close co-operation with MRO and procurement teams at our power plants and other sites in Nordics and Poland. 

 

Your other responsibilities include e.g.:

  • Category management: Building strong network with stakeholders in businesses and different sites to develop and continuously improve MRO category strategy. Collaborating and supporting the local business procurement teams.
  • Procurement savings: Driving savings initiatives by leveraging spend and consolidating specifications
  • Contracts and Negotiations: Initiating and coordinating cross-location procurement projects, executing strategic negotiations, and managing the MRO frame agreements
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Driving the SRM activities among strategic suppliers, as well as managing the contracts and risks within all relevant suppliers.
  • Development of process and digitalization: Driving digitization and automation to increase efficiency and value creation for the businesses.
  • Sustainability & safety: Enhancing sustainability and safety practices in MRO category.

 

We are looking for a new person to join us in Solna, Sweden. We work flexibly in a hybrid model that adapts to both your professional and personal needs. The role includes travelling within Nordic and European countries, mostly between our production assets in Finland and Sweden.

 

About you 
You have an academic degree in a relevant field such as technology or business. You should have a relevant commercial and/or technical background and at least 6 years experience in strategic procurement. Experience on working with MRO related service and frame agreements, as well as working with power plants or similar industrial working environments is seen as a strong benefit.

 

You need to have self-driven attitude, strong leadership, collaboration and project management skills. Furthermore, you have strong problem solving and analytical skills, proven negotiation skills and the ability to challenge established ways of working. 

 

In addition, you are fluent in oral and written English, Swedish, and Finnish.
