About the role

To strengthen our ability to attract and retain customers, we seek a Business Analyst, Lead Performance who can identify and prioritize high-quality leads in a GDPR-compliant way. You will contribute to develop a structured way of generating and nurturing leads from various sources ensuring that our sales teams focus on the most promising prospects. Working closely with key stakeholders from sales and marketing, you'll turn data into actionable insights that improve the cost efficiency of our customer acquisition efforts and maximize lifetime value. With a high degree of autonomy, you will extract insights from vast customer data contributing to improved customer experiences and business outcomes.  

You will be part of a Nordic Analytics & Insights team, supporting sales operations across Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Ideal candidates have a few years of relevant experience, excel at the intersection of data and business, and are familiar with programming languages like SQL or Python and visualization tools like PowerBI.​ 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead generation & nurturing – Develop structured approaches to identifying, prioritizing, and nurturing sales-qualified leads.  

  • Segmentation and list deliveries – Manage both recurring and ad hoc list deliveries, as well as operational requests from stakeholders, ensuring data quality and effective error handling procedures. 

  • Sales performance analytics – Leverage data and insights to improve efficiency in the sales operations and maximize customer lifetime value. 

  • Stakeholder collaboration – Collaborate closely with the Enterprise sale and marketing teams to understand the business needs.  

  • Compliance & process management – Oversee GDPR-compliant data handling and manage user access to the Fortum lead portal. Onboard new lead vendors and ensure understanding of API documentation. 

 

About you

  • Higher relevant education, preferably in technology / economics, with emphasis on quantitative subjects and IT. 

  • Experience with programming languages like SQL, PHP, Python. Knowledge in visualization tools like PowerBI is an advantage.  

  • Work experience in relevant field, with proven track-record of creating business growth through lead performance and generation of own leads.   

  • Understanding of lead scoring models and customer segmentation, and how they can support sales growth and cost efficiency. 

  • Good written and verbal ability in English and any of the Nordic languages. Fortum’s working language is English. 

 

To succeed in this position, you need strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to structured problem-solving. A commercial mindset, high drive, and target orientation are key, as well as being an effective communicator and relationship-builder. Being self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively is crucial, along with attention to detail in your work. You are also curious and innovative with a focus on automation of tasks and using hypothesis testing in your problem-solving approach.
