Fortum Recycling and Waste is now looking for an engaged and driven Key Account Manager for the business area of the chemical industry. Collaborating closely with our dedicated team, you will lead sales efforts within the chemical industry, ensuring value-creating solutions for our clients.

About the Role
As a Key Account Manager (KAM), you will have overall responsibility for sales to chemical companies in Sweden. You will be responsible for acquiring new customers as well as developing existing customer relationships and driving larger deals. You will lead and develop sales within the chemical industry in close collaboration with the rest of the Fortum Recycling and Waste organization. As a KAM, your primary focus is to ensure value-creating solutions for customers, strengthen the company's market position, and drive profitability.
In the position as KAM, you will have the following responsibilites:
- Establish and implement a business plan to drive sales within the chemical industry.
- Identify new business opportunities while establishing and developing long-term customer relationships and strategic partnerships to expand business and profitability.
- Responsible for customer relationship management of new and existing customers.
- Responsible for the entire sales process, including planning, follow-up, and development.
- Responsible for bids and offers, negotiation, and contract management.
- Responsible for the sales budget.
- Continuously gather relevant information from the market to offer market- and customer-oriented value-delivering services.
- Create various types of forecasts and provide input and initiate proposals for improvement and change.
- Ensure high-quality and service standards in all contacts that provide customer value.
About You
As a person, you are empathetic and customer-oriented with a high level of service and possess the ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships. You are driven, self-motivated, and motivated by finding new customer solutions, while also understanding the importance of long-term strategic work and driving changes over time. You understand the basics and processes of the KAM role and what it means to develop a business area. To succeed in the role, you also need to have very good collaboration and communication skills.
We see that you bring the following background:
- Experience in B2B sales, or procurement, with large industrial customers in the chemical, petrochemical, or other industries (waste issues, chemistry, environment).
- You have proven good sales results and experience working with tailored customer solutions.
- It is highly meritorious if you have an academic education, preferably in chemistry, environment, or another relevant field.
- Experience of working downstream within waste.
- You can communicate fluently in both Swedish and English
- Drivers license
