I&V’s mission is to develop strategic insights and create future business opportunities for Fortum, leveraging investments in internal growth ventures and minority-owned assets, including venture capital funds. The I&V Strategic Development & Growth Funding team drives the development of I&V’s strategy, priorities, and investment processes. We are now seeking a Senior Manager to join the team.

About the Role

As Senior Manager, Strategic Development & Growth Funding, you will be impacting I&V’s future direction. This role involves leading key strategic initiatives, shaping a high-performing investment organization, and enhancing the management of the growth portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Driving and supporting key strategic initiatives defining I&V’s future growth priorities and ambitions

•    Establishing and driving a robust investment organization, refining governance, optimizing the operating model, and driving process improvements.

•    Enable effective portfolio management for the portfolio of internal growth ventures and the portfolio of minority owned assets including venture capital funds.

•    Develop and execute strategic initiatives to maximize value and business impact for our portfolio companies, leveraging best practices in growth acceleration, synergies, and scaling.

•    Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends and industry dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges for our investment portfolio.

In this role you will be reporting to Director, Strategic Development & Growth Funding. You can be working from any of our offices in Stockholm, Espoo or Oslo.

About you

•    Master’s degree from a top tier university with strong results.
•    Several years of experience with proven results in a top tier Strategy Consulting firm, Venture Capital, Private Equity or Investment Bank operating in a global context.
•    Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and shape investment and growth strategies.
•    Hands-on experience with growth investment processes.
•    Experience overseeing investment portfolios in venture capital, private equity, or corporate venturing.
•    Strong strategic analysis skills.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build the required network among entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, and co-workers.
•    Fluency in English and good knowledge of the local Nordic language.
