About the role

We are looking for a Master Data Manager to join our Business Support team and strengthen the data capabilities development in our Hydro business to make it more effective in a systematic way. 
 

In your role you will:
    • Establish data driven business culture in Hydro, act as Hydro BU data leader, coordinate and take ownership of data management process and data architecture in Hydro.
    • Support Hydro business in setting strategies and priorities for data creation, maintenance and usage in alignment with connected group level activities, such as centrally provided data standards and data services. Coordinate data flow between Hydro and other organizations.
    • Map, develop and ensure effective implementation of data usage, data science and reporting & analytics tools according to Hydro data architecture.
    • Ensure implementation of data standards, processes, security and monitor the compliance by ensuring that relevant set of instructions and rules are established to regulate the management of data within own business area. Define interface between Data vs Documentation within Hydro and responsible.
    • Identify data quality and data inefficiency issues, make mitigation plans and lead improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for
In order to succeed in this role we expect you to have previous experience with Data Management and/or Governance and an interest in the energy sector, in particular for hydropower.

 

Requirements for the role are:
    • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in relevant field of study.
    • Proven track record of systematic development and implementation skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. It is an advantage if you master one of the Nordic languages as well.

 

Previous experience in the energy business is strong advantage.

 

Personal qualifications: You are proactive and willing to move things forward, reaching out to experts for advice. You have ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them in a simple way. You are successful in engaging people in change.
