C&I/ Electrical Engineer

Fortum O&M (UK) Ltd is looking for our next C&I Electrical Engineer
Fortum O&M (UK) Ltd operates and maintains a gas turbine powered CHP plant in Grangemouth in central Scotland and seeks a C&I / Electrical Engineer to strengthen their maintenance team.
 

About the role
In this role, you will be working as a part of a small operations and maintenance team and you take on the responsibility for a wide range of activities as part of the Team including:
 

• Daily, weekly and annual maintenance planning
• Implementation and supervision of C&I and electrical maintenance activities as well as hands-on plant maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis and repairs.
• Assisting with plant shut downs and start ups
• Operation and Maintenance of Electrical systems within the plants
• Maintenance of DCS and PLC systems
• Preparation of Health and Safety documentation
• Other administrative duties associated with the above, such as maintaining and updating Business Management System documentation

About you

Tthe ideal candidate has the following

• Educated minimum to B.Sc. Degree or equivalent in C&I or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in power generation instrumentation and control systems and / or electrical distribution systems, utilizing possibly some of the following: heavy rotating plant, steam raising plant, gas turbine plant, or steam turbine plant
• Working, hands-on experience in process plant instrumentation of various types and ages (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow, level, vibration measurement and transmission systems)
• Experience with control and shut off valves with associated actuating systems
• Experience with DCS or PLC systems
• You have ability to read single line drawings, circuit diagrams, control logic diagrams, PLC programs, P&IDs and other technical documentation
• You have necessary computer skills on Microsoft based applications
