About The Role:

RTR Operational Excellence Manager role offers an excellent opportunity to help shape and drive our Finance organization to the next level. It is a highly visible position working with many functions in the organization and designing processes that will be implemented across the organization before and after SAP implementation.

This role requires to lead the team of 6-8 RTR Process Experts to drive Record-to-Report process continuous improvements and process transformation, efficiently support the future growth of our organization. This is a key team to contribute to transformation agenda.

The goals of the team are to provide in-depth expertise in particular R2R processes to the whole organization, ensure the processes are streamlined across the organization and operate with effective internal controls and that all reporting deadlines and requirements are met.

RTR manager reports to Senior RTR manager and the team cooperate closely with RTR delivery teams.

 

The Record-To-Repot manager will be responsible for:

 

Process oversight, Performance and Governance

  • Lead the execution of goals for the Record-To-Report processes, including associated policies and technologies, i.e. SAP implementation in collaboration with development and operational teams.
  • Review existing processes, structures, and systems with a focus on streamlining and standardizing them.
  • Drive process transformation with a focus on raising efficiency and reducing process costs.
  • Assess opportunities for process improvement against business objectives and determine means to implement new and innovative technical and process based solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationship with delivery teams to ensure they bring value to Fortum Finance & Procurement Service (FPS) through efficient, scalable and standard RTR processes.
  • Ensure governance structure is effective and aligned with stakeholders.

Leadership, Relationships and Strategy

  • Actively engage and collaborate with stakeholders to embrace and adopt the globally standardized processes, with regional and local requirements customization required for legal/tax compliance.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders to achieve established performance targets.
  • Provide operative team support including IFRS support.
  • Lead and support the professional development of 6-8 R2R Process Experts.

 

About you,

RTR Experience / Personal Qualities:

  • BA/BS or MS in Accounting required, ACCA or MBA preferred.
  • A proven leader with over 10 years of experience in a similar role, successfully leading teams.
  • Proven track record of executing global RTR transformation agenda, driving RTR processes improvements, implementing technologies and ways of working, as well as leading implementation of process change across the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with Top Leadership.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting, reporting and analysis, acquired through related work experience.
  • Understanding and experience of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Capable of directing the resolution of complex or unusual business problems while applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operating statistics, performance measures and benchmarks to provide meaningful feedback.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, working in a fast-paced team environment with high volume activities and changing priorities.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification is considered as a plus.
