Internal Controls and Compliance Manager

We are looking for a Manager, internal controls and compliance to join Financial and Operational Procurement Services (FPS) in Gdansk. You are passionate about ensuring effective processes through internal controls and risk management. You are a strong sparring partner to our global FPS organization and co-operate closely with our service delivery and development teams. Your key stakeholders are Group Finance and Corporate Risk teams in our finance community.
About the role
As a Manager, FPS internal controls and compliance, you have a key role in our journey to improve and standardize process controls. You will be in charge of design, continues improvement and implementation of FPS control framework. The high level requirements and guidance are coming from the group teams and we have experts in service and development teams helping with implementation. Additionally, you work closely with FPS teams to improve and develop internal control framework, documentation, testing and risk assessments. You are reporting to Director, FPS Site Lead in Gdansk.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of an effective internal control set-up according to group requirements in FPS
- Perform detailed risk assessments and assurances of existing controls
- Identify and mitigate gaps in internal controls
- Ensure good quality and timely documentation and testing of internal controls
- Collaborate with the process development teams in defining risk and control design requirements, relevant for starting ERP-implementation
- Act as a risk and privacy co-ordinator in FPS
- Be the internal control champion and sparring partner in FPS

About you
- You have a suitable Master's degree or equivalent competencies in accounting or finance, and at least 5-7 years of working experience in relevant field.
- You have an interest in process development and a strong understanding of internal control framework and effective process controls.
- You understand the overall requirements and having also hands-on experience within this area.
- You are a self-driven person and able to take full ownership of the role.
- You have strong influencing and communication skills, and collaborate fluently at all levels in the organization in English.
- You have structured and fact-based working approach you get things done.
