At Fortum, we are accelerating our digital transformation journey and building modern, efficient, and scalable Source-to-Pay capabilities across our business. We are now looking for a highly motivated Development Manager, Purchase-to-Pay to join our Source-to-Pay Development team.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and continuously improving Purchase-to-Pay processes, solutions, and ways of working across Fortum. You will collaborate closely with procurement, business stakeholders, process owners, IT teams, external partners, solution providers and internal end-users to ensure that our P2P landscape supports business objectives and delivers measurable value.
One of the success factors in this role is to ensure the superb end-user experience in P2P area for all Fortum employees and our suppliers.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future development of Fortum's Source-to-Pay capabilities while working with leading technologies including SAP S/4HANA, Ariba Guided Buying, Basware and related procurement solutions.
Your Responsibilities
As Development Manager, Purchase-to-Pay, you will:

Drive the development and optimization of Fortum's Purchase-to-Pay processes and supporting solutions as a process owner.

Act as a key expert and partner for business stakeholders regarding P2P process, purchasing channel implementation, improvements, system enhancements, and digitalization initiatives.

Drive adoption of new capabilities through effective stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and change management.

Ensure purchasing channel adoption with end user governance and content creation (catalogues, services availability)

Lead and coordinate process design activities, ensuring alignment with the overall Source-to-Pay vision, governance model, and business objectives.

Own and maintain the Purchase-to-Pay development roadmap in collaboration with business process owners and key stakeholders.

Lead implementation projects, automation targets, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives across the P2P landscape.

Collaborate with operational teams, master data experts, and external partners to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for increased automation, efficiency, compliance, and user experience.

Contribute to strategic procurement and finance transformation initiatives across Fortum.
About you
To succeed in this role, you bring:
Experience
-
Several years of experience working in Purchase-to-Pay, Source-to-Pay, procurement development, ERP transformation, or related business process development roles.

Proven experience in developing and implementing business processes in a global and complex organization.

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience leading workshops, process design activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience working in international project and development environments
Technical Expertise
-
Strong understanding of end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay processes.
-
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA procurement and purchasing processes, including Ariba Guided Buying. Experience with Basware invoice management system considered as an advantage.

Understanding of procurement master data, integrations, controls, and process governance.

Knowhow on process automation and digital procurement solutions

Knowledge of IBM Maximo production and maintenance processes is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Finnish language is considered an asset.
