About the role

Our Corporate Procurement Team is looking for a Category Manager with knowledge and experience in sourcing activities in an international environment.

Your primary responsibilities will be within Indirect Services area, such as real estate, communications, consultancy, HR, office services, financial services, work wear, travel or leasing car services.

You will be responsible for Indirect Procurement in Poland and the close collaboration with our local stakeholders.

 

The position and content of the work can be adjusted based on team collaboration and your experience and interest. Additional responsibilities such as supporting the sourcing of other services and products, source-to-pay process and tool development can also be a part of your work.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing and leading complex sourcing projects and negotiations.
  • Supporting research and development work/projects.
  • Supporting corporate-wide procurement initiatives.
  • Working as the main contact person towards internal stakeholders and managing cross-functional category teams.
  • Developing, implementing and managing sourcing strategies.
  • Seeking new solutions, innovations and suppliers for indirect services and products.
  • Drive Supplier Relationship Management for chosen suppliers incl. supplier performance.

 

You will be responsible for carrying out supplier pre-selection, tendering, contracting and relationship management duties according to Fortum's global processes. You will cooperate with different stakeholders to develop the processes and cost-effectiveness of Indirect Services areas on both strategic and operational levels.

 

We’re looking for a new team member to join us in Wroclaw or Gdansk, Poland, but we work flexibly in a hybrid model that adapts to both your professional and personal needs.

You will report to Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement.

The role includes travelling.

 

 

 

About you

To succeed in this role you have:

  • a university-level Master’s degree in a relevant area (e.g. economics, engineering or legal),
  • at least 3-5years of sourcing experience in an international environment,
  • proficiency in MS Office tools and knowledge in SAP Ariba is a benefit,
  • fluent command of Polish and English, Nordic languages skills are seen as an advantage,
  • experience working with research and development procurement projects within the energy sector,
  • experience with Source-to-Pay systems and knowledge of public procurement processes is highly advantageous,
  • knowledge and experience of the hardware and software development area is a plus,
  • self-initiative with the ability to work both independently and in a team,
  • analytical and accurate with proven project management skills,
  • experience working in a Nordic company is seen as an advantage.

 

As a person, you are positive and efficient, and most importantly you have a great “can do” attitude. You are driven by results and have strong leadership and influencing skills. You have good social competence as well as interpersonal and communication skills. You are development-focused and goal-oriented.
