About the role
We are looking for a temporary maternity leave replacement, who are interested in understanding the Fortum Consumer Solutions business and our customers and work in an international environment. In this role you will be responsible for the People area within your own unit and support the business area management team and managers. You will lead and secure the businesses’ long-term people plans and strategy, as well as develop Consumer Solutions people strategic agenda and ensure the implementation of it. Supporting managers in the people processes is your responsibility, and you are able to see the strategic aspect in each recruitment, development step and in problem solving challenges.
To succeed as a Business People Partner at Fortum, you are happy to take your own initiatives and work independently and flexibly when needed. You are used to work broadly, and able to prioritize your tasks with great commitment and ambition.
You will act on both of these defined areas:
a) Business area responsibility, Consumer and Enterprise business area in Poland
b) Responsibility in one of the functional areas, what could be as an example related to Compensation&Benefits, Wellbeing, Culture etc.
You will belong to Corporate Customers and Markets, Consumer Solution People team of HR professionals and local team of HR People Partners. You will report to Vice President People. This position is located in Gdansk, Poland.
Other responsibilities:
- Implement and execute People processes and activities, such as compensation and benefits, PDP and Talent Management processes, labor law, recruitment, etc.
- Advise, support and coach (mainly) own area management team and line managers in their People related questions to support in achieving business targets.
- Co-operation with the union representatives, including running negotiations independently. Cooperation with People Services regarding the Company Social Benefits Fund.
- Act as a sparring partner in organizational development activities and competence development.
- Support and advise Talent Acquisition in recruitment, ensuring alignment with team fit.
About you
To succeed and thrive in this role, we see that you have:
- 5 years of work experience in versatile HR work and previous experience in Business People Partner/HR Partner roles.
- University level education from a relevant area.
- Knowledge of the used tools and basic People/HR processes.
- Deep knowledge of Polish labor law including basic understanding of payroll.
- Working knowledge of Polish and English languages.
- Very good interpersonal, influencing and co-ordination skills including facilitation skills.
- Merit if you have experience in the energy market.
