About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious legal trainee to join our global Legal team as a legal trainee. You will be based in our company headquarters in Espoo and work together with our Legal team and also other professionals, with a great opportunity to learn from experienced team members.

Our legal trainee program offers law students a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in working at a large publicly listed company. As a legal trainee, you will support our Legal team and also other stakeholders in a wide variety of assignments. Your key area of responsibility will be independent reviewing and drafting of NDAs and other agreements, but you will also conduct legal research and provide other day-to-day legal support. A part of the tasks can also be tailored based on your personal interests and previous work experience. We offer you a challenging and rewarding working environment.

This is a full-time traineeship for a fixed period of 6-7 months. We hope that you would be able to start your traineeship on 26 August 2024.

About you

You are currently a law student in the final stages of your law studies at a Finnish law school, or you can otherwise demonstrate a solid knowledge of Finnish laws and the legal system.

Below is a list for you to check if you could be a match for us:

  • you have completed at least 180 ECTS of your legal studies (however, your master's degree will not be completed yet at the time of starting the traineeship)
  • you have an excellent command of both written and spoken Finnish and English, and great communication skills in general
  • you like to take initiative and also pay attention to detail
  • you are quick to analyse new information and to grasp the big picture
  • you can manage multiple tasks and work well under time pressure
  • you have a can-do attitude and you are not afraid of working independently
  • you are eager to deepen your understanding of the energy sector and contract law.

In addition, you could benefit from having:

  • previous work experience gained at a law firm and/or as part of a company in-house legal team
  • experience in drafting and reviewing agreements
  • international experience, e.g. exchange studies.
