Technical Architect, IT Asset Management

Perm/Temp:  Regular

Espoo, FI Sth Solna, SE Wrocław, PL

Are you ready to take ownership of how IT asset data is structured, integrated, and used across Fortum? We are looking for a Technical Architect to own and evolve how IT asset data flows across systems and integrations, ensuring data quality, automation, and a reliable foundation for decision-making. We know that not everyone applies unless they match every requirement. If this role sounds like your next step, we’d like to hear from you. You might come from a hands-on engineering, configuration, or ITAM background, with deep experience in one area (for example SAM, HAM, or integrations) and are ready to grow into a broader role.

About the role

In this role, you are the technical owner of Fortum’s ITAM architecture — defining how asset data flows across platforms, how it is structured and reconciled, and ensuring it is reliable for lifecycle and decision-making.

You will collaborate with cross functional teams across IT, Finance, Procurement, Workplace, and Cybersecurity, ensuring asset data is structured, automated, and governed according to Fortum’s standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence our long term ITAM, lifecycle, and cost management strategy.

Key responsibilities might include but are not limited to the following:

  • Own and develop the end to end technical architecture for ITAM solutions and related integrations.
  • Design inbound data flows and define how data is structured, reconciled, and maintained across systems
  • Build outbound data architecture to support cost transparency, chargeback, compliance.
  • Lead modernization of lifecycle automation, software catalogue metadata, and compliance supporting processes.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for complex ITAM investigations (data anomalies, lifecycle gaps, SAM risks, etc.).
  • Ensure all integrations and platforms follow Fortum’s cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to platform squads on integration patterns, data modelling, and automation.

About you

Experience in at least one domain (e.g. SAM, HAM, endpoint management, or integrations) is valuable.

You bring clarity to complex landscapes by structuring data, improving data quality, and bridging technical and business requirements across lifecycle, finance, and compliance.

We also believe you’ll succeed in this role if you have:

  • Strong understanding of how to build a functional IT Asset Management system, enabled by robust integration architecture and data governance.
  • Proven experience with enterprise ITAM platforms such as ServiceNow ITAM and Flexera.
  • Familiarity with Intune, Jamf, Active Directory, and Entra ID.
  • Experience designing data models, reconciliation patterns, and lifecycle automation.
  • A security‑minded approach with understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and curiosity for solving complex architectural problems.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI) is a plus.
  • Experience with ITAM and ITSM (e.g. ISO/IEC 19770, ITIL, COBIT, ISO 20000) is a plus.
