Spot Trader

We are looking for a Spot Trader to join our team in Espoo, as part of the Asset Optimization & Intraday Trading team within Physical Trading.
About the role
We offer you the opportunity to make a difference for a cleaner world by trading smart. You will learn and develop your physical trading skills in a team that is the forerunner in the Nordic power market. You will work in close collaboration with our traders, market analysts and hydro operation engineers.
As a Spot Trader, you'll optimize the physical production of hydro and nuclear power, offering available production capacity to the spot market. You'll work on a rotational basis, including weekends every fourth to fifth week. Development work related to this field is also a key part of your role.
About you
We're looking for someone with a strong interest in physical power markets and trading, preferably you are more experienced and senior within the physical power market, however you could also be a more junior person with genuine interest and passion for physical trading. To succeed in this position, you should have:
• A degree in Economics or Engineering, or relevant work experience in energy trading or dispatching.
• Good communication and team-working skills.
• The ability to work independently and make decisions under tight time frames.
• Fluency in English and Finnish; other language skills are a plus.
• An analytical mindset with the ability to see the big picture while paying attention to details.
