Solution Specialist, Asset

We are looking for a Solution Specialist, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) to join Fortum's Asset & Locations Applications team. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner for business stakeholders and help shape the future of Enterprise Asset Management across Fortum's asset-intensive operations. 

You will support the continuous development of our current IBM Maximo solution while playing a key role in our future EAM transformation journey, including pre-study activities and the planned transition towards SAP Asset Management.

 

About the role

In this role, you will work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, asset management and IT stakeholders across Fortum. Your primary responsibility is to understand business needs, identify improvement opportunities and translate requirements into sustainable digital solutions. 

You will become a key member of a multidisciplinary Nordic team working across Finland, Sweden and Poland. The role combines business analysis, solution development, process improvement and transformation activities. 

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Acting as the primary link between business stakeholders and IT teams 
  • Analysing and improving end-to-end asset management and maintenance processes 
  • Facilitating workshops, requirement gathering and process design discussions 
  • Translating business needs into solution requirements, user stories and development backlogs 
  • Supporting technical solution design, testing, release planning and change management activities 
  • Participating in EAM roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Contributing to pre-study and implementation activities related to possible future SAP Asset Management solutions 
  • Supporting business readiness, process harmonization and transformation activities 
  • Working with internal and external partners to ensure solution quality and business value

 

About you 

We are looking for a person who combines strong business understanding with an interest in digital solutions and enterprise applications. 

 

You bring: 

  • Experience working as a Solution Analyst, System Specialist or similar role 
  • 5+ years of experience with Enterprise Asset Management processes, technologies and platforms such as IBM Maximo, SAP EAM/PM, or similar solutions 
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, maintenance processes, preventive maintenance, work management and related business processes 
  • Experience gathering, documenting and managing business requirements 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders 
  • Experience facilitating workshops and driving collaboration across multiple functions 
  • Understanding of IT solution delivery, system implementations and business transformation initiatives 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Proactive and self-driven working style with a collaborative mindset 
  • Fluent English communication skills 

 

Additionally, the following are considered an advantage: 

  • Experience in energy, utilities, manufacturing, process industry or other asset-intensive businesses 
  • Experience with SAP Asset Management implementations or transformations 
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methods 
  • Knowledge of integration concepts and enterprise application landscapes 

 

The position is based in Espoo, Finland or Stockholm (Solna), Sweden with opportunities for hybrid work.
