Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Perm/Temp:  Regular

Espoo, FI

Are you an experienced Talent Acquisition professional who knows how to identify, engage and assess senior leaders in complex international environments? At Fortum, you will contribute directly to our leadership capability and future success by delivering high-quality executive recruitment across the company. You will join a collaborative, high-performing and down-to-earth Global Talent Acquisition team at a time when the energy transition, sustainability and future capabilities are high on the agenda.

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to join our Global Talent Acquisition team in a permanent role based at our office in Espoo, Finland. With a global scope, your primary focus will be executive and senior leadership appointments. You will also support recruitment at other levels based on business needs and team capacity, particularly during periods of lower executive recruitment demand. In the role, you will partner closely with senior hiring managers, People leaders and other key stakeholders across Fortum.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment processes, from defining the search strategy and mapping the market to approaching candidates, conducting structured interviews and assessments, and supporting final selection decisions. Alongside this priority, you will contribute flexibly to broader end-to-end recruitment assignments across the organisation when executive recruitment volumes allow. You will act as a trusted adviser who can challenge constructively, bring external market insight and ensure an excellent experience for candidates and hiring stakeholders. You will also help strengthen our executive recruitment and assessment practices globally, using data, technology and modern recruitment tools to raise quality and consistency.

Some examples of what you will do:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment assignments across Fortum, with a focus on senior positions
  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner with senior leaders to define business needs, success profiles, competencies and search strategies
  • Conduct market mapping, executive search and proactive sourcing to identify and engage senior talent
  • Design and facilitate robust selection processes using semi-structured interviews, psychometric assessments and other relevant assessment methods
  • Provide evidence-based candidate evaluations and trusted advice throughout selection and final decision making
  • Manage external executive search partners when needed and ensure quality, consistency and value
  • Contribute to the development of Fortum’s global executive recruitment, assessment and Talent Acquisition practices

This is a permanent position based at our office in Espoo, Finland, with a global scope. You will report to Fabian Åhlin, Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition.

About you
To succeed in this role, you bring senior-level recruitment expertise, sound judgement and the confidence to advise and challenge leaders. You understand the discretion, pace and stakeholder management required in executive appointments and can translate business strategy into a credible search and assessment approach. You are equally comfortable engaging passive senior candidates, interpreting assessment data and presenting clear, evidence-based recommendations to decision makers.

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Extensive experience in recruitment, executive search and/or in-house Talent Acquisition, including a strong track record of executive and senior leadership recruitment in an international environment
  • Strong expertise in assessment methodology, including structured interviewing, psychometric tools and the interpretation of assessment results
  • The ability to advise, influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders with credibility and discretion
  • A commercial and data-informed approach, combined with strong judgement and attention to candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Fluency in English and Finnish
  • Experience with modern recruitment systems, assessment platforms and digital tools; experience using AI to improve recruitment quality or efficiency is an advantage
