About the role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Nuclear Safety. Your position in the organization is in the Nuclear Safety team of Engineering & Projects (E&P) business area, located in Espoo, Finland. The Nuclear Safety team has a wide range of different competencies which are utilized in supporting safe and efficient operations of our co-owned nuclear units, external nuclear customers, and the development of new nuclear and nuclear R&D activities in Fortum.
Your responsibilities may include the following areas determined based on your experience:
- Nuclear newbuild projects: evaluation of plant concepts, dialogue with regulators and writing licensing documentation
- Owner’s engineering – supporting utilities in new build projects
About you
To succeed and thrive in this role you have:
- A university level degree e.g. in energy engineering, or physics.
- Knowledge and experience in nuclear safety in newbuild projects
- At least 5 years relevant experience
- You are required to have excellent English language skills. Finnish and Swedish are a plus.
Experience in modern NPP concepts including SMRs, Finnish and Swedish nuclear requirements or functional safety design is seen as a plus.
