Senior Engineer, Electrical Design

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our expert team of electrical design professionals focusing on nuclear and industrial projects. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to participate in new plant projects, and also modernization of current systems in existing facilities. You will lead electrical design across a wide range of projects, applying your expertise to deliver the best possible results.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Engage in electrical design in the nuclear sector, P2X and other industrial projects.
- As a Senior Engineer, you are responsible for electrical design efforts in your projects, supported by our team. You are also expected to steer and guide other team members and involved experts in the area of your expertise.
- In projects, you will work as part of owner’s multidisciplinary engineering team, where you will be responsible for electrical design deliverables and oversee external electrical design activities.
- Basic and detail design in medium and low voltage systems including network design, transformers, switchgears, motors, batteries and backup power supplies. Tasks also include electrification of industrial systems such as process, HVAC etc.
This role is located in Espoo, Finland.
About you

- Are an electrical engineering professional with a positive and proactive attitude, development-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in learning and growing as a part of an expert team.
- Have solid experience working on electrical engineering projects in heavy industry, process industry or power generation.
- You can lead and oversee electrical design and delivery activities carried out by EPC and EPCM contractors during the project lifecycle.
- You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering.
- You are fluent in English and Finnish, with strong communication skills in both speaking and writing.
- You are open to occasional travel, mostly domestic.
It is beneficial if you have:
- Experience in the nuclear field or a safety critical operating environment.
- Expertise in electrolyser electrical integration and grid-connection competence.
- Experience from site work and managing site activities, such as installation, commissioning and supervising.
