About the role
Here at Fortum, you’ll be at the forefront of securing the applications that powers our business. You’ll collaborate with our engineering teams to build secure-by-design applications, lead technical cyber security assessments, and drive the adoption of modern security practices across our IT environment
In the role you will also own and evolve key programs like BugBounty. You are expected to take initiative and develop our cyber security academy for developers, while also shaping internal standards and tooling for application security. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence how we build and maintain resilient, scalable, and secure systems.
Other things that the role will include:
- Conduct cyber security assessments and technical testing on applications
- Develop and integrate cyber security controls into Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing methodologies and tools to verify the security of systems, networks and applications.
- Keep & train application security training academy for developers
About you
You’re a seasoned cyber security professional with a passion for building secure applications and empowering development teams to do the same. You bring a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. You’re comfortable working across teams, translating complex security concepts into actionable guidance, and driving continuous improvement in secure development practices.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in application security or a closely related role (e.g., software engineering).
- Deep understanding and expertise of application security principles and hands-on experience with OWASP implementations.
- Familiarity with security testing tools such as DAST, BurpSuite, and others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Finnish and/or Swedish skills in both oral and written are seen as a big advantage
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus
