Senior Business Manager

As a Senior Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in growing Fortum’s Nordic portfolio of entrepreneurs and small businesses through a customer-centric approach. You will contribute to the strategic development of the segment at the Nordic level while owning the local segment’s performance - including profitability, customer growth and NPS for both electricity and value-added services.

 

About the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the Nordic strategy of the segment as part of the Nordic leadership team.
  • Drive strategy execution through the local matrix team, overseeing both ongoing operations and strategic projects.
  • Ensure an efficient local go-to-market execution by leading the local strategy execution matrix team.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and foster a cultural shift towards customer-centricity.
  • Develop and deliver an annual business plan aligned with Fortum’s strategic direction.
  • Identify and propose new business opportunities and operational models that support long-term growth.
  • Own and lead initiatives related to customer KPIs and customer value, ensuring continuous improvement in customer success.
  • Build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with external stakeholders, including customers, vendors and partners.

 

This position is located in our Espoo office.

 

About you

To succeed and thrive in this role, we see that you have:

  • At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role, in addition to an academic education within business.
  • A commercial mindset and business acumen.
  • Good written and oral presentation skills.
  • Understanding of energy management, pricing, margin management and risk. The role also requires an understanding of regulatory matters.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Fluent skills in English and Finnish.
