Senior Business Developer

About the role
In this role, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of business applications and processes within the Corporate Customers and Markets Financial Trading domain, partnering closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver efficient, high-quality solutions that support trading operations, product development and growth.
Your key responsibilities
- Contribute to the development focused on implementing new B2B products and capabilities, increasing value creation, enhancing market competitiveness, and responding to changing business needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, challenge, and refine requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications.
- Manage and maintain master data, access rights, and system configurations to ensure data quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and deliver business value.
- Provide expert-level support for business-critical applications and processes, investigating complex issues and coordinating resolutions with internal teams and external partners.
- Work closely with Product Management, Hedging & Pricing, Operations, Risk, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure solutions meet both business and technical requirements.
- Participate in and sometimes lead projects, delivering new features and enhancements with a focus on quality, usability, and time-to-market.
- Support audits, governance activities, and system reviews by ensuring transparency, documentation, and adherence to established processes.
About you
Requirements
- Several years of experience in ETRM development, business development, or a similar role within energy and commodities trading.
- Deep knowledge of derivatives, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Guarantees of Origins (GoOs), B2B energy trading, and other commodities within European markets.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, from trade execution through Back Office and Middle Office processes.
- Good knowledge of SQL databases, data management, and data relationships, with the ability to create and execute queries.
- Experience participating in or leading cross-functional development projects involving business and IT stakeholders.
- Experience with AI-driven development.
- Strong interest in software solutions and business processes, with the ability to understand both the bigger picture and detailed requirements.
- Fluent English. Swedish or Finnish are considered as an advantage.
