We are looking for a Project Engineer or Project Manager to join our investment project team supporting the development of a planned battery materials recycling facility in Harjavalta, Finland.

 

About the role

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, procurement, and implementation of an internationally significant hydrometallurgical processing facility.

 

The role is connected to an investment project for a planned battery materials recycling facility in Harjavalta, Finland. The primary location is Harjavalta, although working from our Espoo office is also possible. The position requires willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by the project.

 

This is a fixed-term position ending on 31 May 2027.

 

About you

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Hydrometallurgy, or another relevant technical field.
  • Experience in process design and development within hydrometallurgical operations or the chemical process industry.
  • The ability to evaluate process solutions and participate in the technical specification and procurement of process equipment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international project environment.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English.

 

We especially value experience in:

  • Working with international equipment and technology suppliers within the chemical, metals, or process industries.
  • International procurement, supplier selection, tendering, and contract negotiations.
  • Procurement of process equipment for chemical processing plants or similar industrial facilities.
  • Coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and related supplier activities.
  • Working in process industry production environments or industrial investment projects.
  • Serving as a Project Engineer or Project Manager in industrial capital investment projects.
  • Participating in EPC and EPCM projects or large-scale engineering projects.
