We are now searching for an experienced and motivated Pricing Manager to take on a crucial role in developing new pricing strategies and models for innovative products in the fast-evolving energy market. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact.
Our Portfolio Management & Pricing team is responsible for managing Fortum’s hedging portfolio and pricing Corporate Customers and Markets’ (CCM) offerings, such as PPA’s, for both our external and internal customers.
About the role
As a Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies and models that align with Fortum’s risk appetite and business performance.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Monitoring, adjusting, and developing pricing strategies and models for our current and future offerings, based on market dynamics and customer.

Analyzing and pricing different risk exposures (market, credit, liquidity, etc.) and solving complex challenges related to pricing, leveraging your analytical and quantitative skills.

Collaborating closely with our team’s Portfolio Managers, Sales Managers, and other internal stakeholders to provide expertise in pricing-related matters. You may also participate in meetings and negotiations with large industrial customers.

Ensuring that the pricing strategies and models become operational and scalable by supporting their deployment to our pricing tools and platforms, together with the team’s Quantitative Developers and Analysts.

Documenting and validating the developed models under your responsibility according to our governance models.
The position is permanent and located either in Espoo, Finland or in Solna, Sweden.
About you
You bring a strong combination of analytical expertise, technical skills and market knowledge to our team. We are looking for an individual with the following:

Applicable academic degree, that supports your technical and analytical expertise

At least 5 years of working experience in a related role such as pricing, risk management (e.g. market/credit/cash liquidity), finance, portfolio management and/or quantitative analysis/modelling

A strong analytical and mathematical background, supporting you in making well-reasoned assessments and approach unforeseen challenges proactively

Business mindset and preferably a solid understanding of the energy markets

Proficiency in Python and SQL are an asset

Ability to adapt to changing situations

Fluent in English, both written and oral
You are also a positive, open and honest individual, with the ability of working both independently and as part of a team. You have interest in developing yourself and supporting your colleagues in their development.
