Portfolio Manager (Financial Energy Markets)

Perm/Temp:  Regular

Espoo, FI

Are you ready to take on a key role in supporting industrial decarbonization and managing customer portfolios in the evolving Nordic energy market?

Fortum’s Corporate Customers and Markets (CCM) division is establishing a Financial Customer Portfolio Management (FINA CPM) service company, and we are looking for a Portfolio Manager to help build the service and later operate within the licensed entity.

About the Role
In this role, you will contribute to the development of Fortum’s new MiFID‑licensed entity during its build‑up phase and transition into ongoing portfolio management once the company becomes operational. This position is based in Espoo, Finland.

You will be part of a team focused on creating customer‑centric portfolio management services that support long term advisory, market analysis, and risk management, in an environment where collaboration, trust and integrity are valued. The role combines hands‑on portfolio management with participation in service concept development, making it suitable for someone who thrives in both strategic and operational work.

As Portfolio Manager, you will:

  • Support organizational executive management in developing and creating the service concept for financial customer portfolio management.
  • Participate in the FINA CPM project, contributing to customer reporting and market analysis for the licensed entity.
  • Manage and report on customer portfolios, consult on risk and portfolio management, and provide backup for other portfolio managers.
  • Engage in market analysis, team discussions, and the ongoing development of CPM services and processes.

About You
You are analytical, collaborative, and customer‑oriented. You are comfortable working in an environment where both the service concept and operational routines are still being built, and you enjoy combining market insights with practical portfolio management. You communicate clearly with customers and colleagues and bring a proactive mindset to service development.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience as a customer portfolio manager in the energy market, ideally within a licensed company.
  • Experience in service concept development or customer reporting.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the Nordic electricity market.
  • Relevant educational background, preferably with a master’s degree.
  • Fluent and confident English and Finnish language skills.
  • Swedish proficiency is an advantage.

We Offer You
In this role, you will have:

  • The opportunity to shape new concepts and services in a high-impact project.
  • A collaborative team environment focused on innovation and growth.
  • A role at the forefront of supporting industrial decarbonization.
