About the role
We are looking for a People & Payroll Specialist to Fortum People & Payroll Services Finland team to ensure reliable and high-quality service for our internal customers (mostly) in Finland. As a People & Payroll Specialist, you have a great chance to support Fortum´s success by creating a positive employee experience by handling service requests from employees and managers and managing and/or supporting various People and Payroll processes (starting with more standardized tasks and gradually taking on more complex responsibilities). You handle HR, time management and payroll data and ensure that correct input is given to payroll process.
You work closely with colleagues in People & Payroll Services team, People Function, and also with external vendors (e.g. the payroll vendor). You prepare and conduct trainings, provide instructions in your areas of responsibility, and perform complex reporting tasks. You mainly work with local customers (but may also participate in projects on a Fortum global level) and continuously seek to improve the customer experience.
This is a temporary full-time position until the end of 2025. We're looking for a new person to join us in Espoo, Finland. We work flexibly in a hybrid model that adapts to both your personal and professional needs.
About you
To succeed in this role, you should have around 2-5 years of experience in People (HR) Services or another People (HR) or Payroll role, preferably in a large-sized company. You have previous experience from working with HR systems and tools and you´ve got good Excel skills. You´re fluent in Finnish and English. You´re fast, accurate and efficient and you are able to prioritize your work tasks independently, according to business criticality. Your education supports your career in People/Payroll area.
You´re a pro-active team-player with a “can-do” attitude and high quality customer service is your top priority. You´re open for new development opportunities and do not hesitate taking the responsibility and ownership in different processes – stepping into unknown is almost your comfort zone.
