About the role
As the Manager, Grants and Public Affairs, you will take ownership of our grant management activities and public relations efforts that support strategic growth projects. Your role will be pivotal in securing public financing for projects and ensuring alignment with relevant legislation and industry developments.
You will manage awarded grant projects, lead new grant application preparation, and proactively identify emerging opportunities in the public funding landscape. Additionally, you will monitor legislative changes, communicate key topics internally, and collaborate with the battery business line to develop informed positions on regulatory matters.
This position reports to the Director, Technology & Growth. While your primary focus will be on growth projects driven by the Technology & Growth team, you will also work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization. The role is based in Espoo, Finland.
In your role you will:
- Drive the identification and acquisition of public financing opportunities to support growth projects.
- Act as the primary liaison with national and EU authorities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Build and nurture relationships with political decision-makers, public authorities, and key stakeholders to strengthen our position in the industry.
- Monitor and interpret legislative developments, ensuring timely internal communication and developing harmonized positions across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align grant strategies with business objectives and secure successful project execution.
- Represent the company in relevant forums and discussions, advocating for policies that support our targets.
About you

To be successful in this position you should have:
- Proven experience in independent project management, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills.
- A track record of success in managing grants and public affairs projects, including securing funding and navigating regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with public authorities, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt and perform in a rapidly growing organization and fast-changing environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling smooth collaboration internally and externally.
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Business).
- Fluent skills in Finnish and English.
