Lead, IT Service Excellence Development

About the role 

 

As a Lead, IT Development, you will be responsible for driving the IT development agenda and the execution of selected development activities. You will drive the adoption of the IT Flow (IT operating model), common ways of working and governance models. The role includes both day-to-day coordination work as well as long-term strategic development. You will lead in a cross-functional environment, working with stakeholders across Fortum.

  • Drive the IT Service Excellence agenda in close collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Lead selected development initiatives and projects, coordinating efforts across teams and competency areas.
  • Coordinate Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities and support the successful adoption of new ways of working.
  • Design and deliver training initiatives, learning materials, and stakeholder enablement activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT units to align priorities, manage expectations, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategies, roadmaps, and strategic IT decisions, ensuring alignment with Group and IT objectives.
  • Translate complex topics into clear insights, models, and recommendations to support decision-making and change initiatives.
  • Develop impactful communication materials tailored to different stakeholder groups.
  • Facilitate complex business decisions and support the successful implementation of key initiatives.
  • Adapt effectively to changing priorities and business requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external professional networks.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders across IT Service Excellence and Group IT, contributing to strategic initiatives, organizational development and continuous improvement across Fortum.

 

About you

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in IT and business environments
  • Proven experience leading teams, large-scale initiatives, and organizational change
  • A strong track record of delivering results and driving business outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
