ITSM & ITOM Automation Lead

We are seeking a Lead in Automation to join our team in Espoo, Finland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance operational effectiveness by designing and implementing automation solutions within IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM). This position is pivotal within Fortum’s IT Service Management and offers a substantial opportunity to drive and contribute to the renewal of our processes and tools landscape. 

 

About the role 

You will collaborate closely with Fortum IT colleagues, suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure optimal support for our service operations. Your immediate team comprises IT Service Management professionals dedicated to continuous improvement and identifying the best solutions to support our operations.  

 

Main tasks that will be included in your role: 

  • You are responsible for continuous development of automation and develop the solutions yourself 
  • You will lead and design automation capabilities on our ServiceNow platform. 
  • You will oversee ITSM automation development in collaboration with key stakeholders. 
  • You will contribute to the development of ways of working to achieve world-class services for our business stakeholders and users. 

 

About you 

What we are looking for in you as a candidate: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of ITSM processes, CMDB, portal, and proven experience in automating them. 
  • Expertise in ServiceNow ITSM and automation solutions, supported by relevant certifications. 
  • Holistic understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including its architecture, modules, dependencies, and AI & GenAI capabilities. 
  • Thorough knowledge of ITIL best practices. 
  • Understanding and experience with ITOM automation. 
  • Open mindset, curiosity, and a proactive can-do attitude. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, complemented by academic or equivalent education. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. 
  • Fluency in English, oral and written; additional languages are an asset. 

 

The job will be located in our head office in Espoo.
