About the role
We are strengthening our team and looking for a Tax Specialist in Transfer pricing area to join the Fortum´s Financial and Operational Procurement Services (FPS) team located in Espoo. FPS is a centralized financial service center delivering and developing accounting and tax services for whole Fortum group entities internationally.  


As a Transfer Pricing Specialist at Fortum, you will play a key role in managing and developing our local transfer pricing documentation across multiple jurisdictions. This role is well-suited for a finance or tax professional with a few years of experience who is ready to deepen their expertise in international taxation and contribute to a globally operating business. Work requires a high level of independence as the other members of the team are not involved in Transfer Pricing.


You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with transfer pricing regulations and policies, supporting business units with routine TP matters, implementing Group Tax instructions and guidance on TP and collaborating with Group Tax on more complex transactions and policy development. You’ll also help maintain and improve our documentation tools and processes, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Managing local TP documentation process in Fortum group in close collaboration with business units and other stakeholders and by using TP documentation software
  • Be the main user of TP documentation software 
  • Guiding pricing methodology of routine transactions, instructing and training businesses and corporate functions in their TP documentation and methodology 
  • Monitoring the status of TP process with frequent involvement with local stakeholders and control that stakeholders deliver required data and information for TP purposes
  • Implement TP policies and Group Tax instructions 
  • Supporting Group Tax Team in non-routine TP transactions and changes in policies and business restructurings
  • Supporting Group Tax Team in transfer pricing audits
  • Participating in assessments to ensure compliance

 


About you

The scope and complexity of your responsibilities can be tailored to your experience level, supporting your professional development. We think that you have the following : 

  • A degree in Finance or Tax-related fields, providing a strong foundation for understanding financial and regulatory matters.
  • Possess a basic understanding of global tax regulations and show a genuine interest in developing expertise in transfer pricing, indicating a willingness to grow in the role.
  • Three years of experience in accounting or tax area and an equivalent degree in accounting or finance.
  • You are self-driven and change-oriented, with a positive, can-do attitude, which is essential for adapting to evolving business needs.
  • You have strong numerical skills and the ability to understand business models and their tax implications, enabling sound financial analysis and decision-making.
  • You demonstrate good collaboration skills, working effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across functions.
  • You have strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • You possess intermediate-level skills in common IT tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint), supporting your ability to analyze data and present insights efficiently.
