About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Expert, Process Analysis to join our Process Analysis team within the Analysis, Modelling and Simulation department.
In this role, you will apply your expertise to nuclear engineering assignments supporting the safe and efficient operation, modernization and long-term development of nuclear power plants. Your work will focus on advanced process analysis and nuclear power plant model development using the Apros simulation software.
You will contribute to nuclear safety assessments and plant modification projects for Loviisa NPP. In addition, you will participate in customer projects and support the development of Fortum’s simulation and analysis capabilities.
Your main focus areas are:
- Executing thermal-hydraulic and process analyses using Apros simulation software.
- Developing, maintaining and validating nuclear power plant models with Apros.
- Executing nuclear safety analyses, engineering analyses and licensing activities.
- Participating in customer projects and technical deliveries.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across Fortum and customer organizations.
The position is located in Espoo, Finland. We apply a hybrid working model. Occasional travel to the Loviisa nuclear power plant and customer locations in Finland and abroad is expected.
About you
You are an experienced engineering professional with extensive expertise in process analysis, thermal hydraulics and nuclear power plant technology. You have a strong track record of delivering demanding analysis and modelling assignments using Apros and enjoy solving complex engineering challenges in a safety-critical environment.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- M.Sc. in Energy Technology, Process Engineering, Engineering Physics or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in process analyses using Apros simulation software.
- Proven experience in nuclear power plant model development using Apros.
- Strong knowledge of thermal hydraulics and power plant technology.
- Experience from nuclear power plant projects and nuclear safety-related analyses.
- Demonstrated capability to independently execute demanding process analysis and modelling assignments.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
Previous experience from the nuclear industry is required. Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
