Director, Business Control, Enabling Functions

About the role

We are looking for a Director, Business Control, Enabling Functions to join Fortum’s Group Finance team. You are responsible for the Business Controlling and Performance Management of Enabling Functions (IT, HR & Procurement, Legal, Finance, Sustainability and Corporate Relations) to ensure solid planning and reporting for enhancing business performance. You will act as trusted representative of the Vice President Finance and Business Control, Enabling Functions and you will also represent Enabling Functions in Finance Function developments. Your home base is in Group Finance, but you are working proactively with your colleagues across Fortum.

In your role you will:

• Lead Business Controlling process of the Enabling Functions

• Responsible of performance management in Enabling Functions

• Enabling Functions responsibility for securing harmonized ways of working and group level co-operation in development items

• Member of Enabling Functions Finance Leadership Team

• Vice President Finance and Business Control, Enabling Functions representative

• Responsible for coordination of Enabling Functions compliance tasks

The location for this position can be at any Fortum’s office. We promote a hybrid work model and the position includes some travelling.

About you

You have a Master's degree in a Finance relevant area and at least 5-10 years of business control related work experience internationally operating, demanding finance functions, preferably in a Nordic listed company. You have excellent leadership skills in an international environment and an outstanding track record in change situations to get things done You have also excellent communication and influencing skills.

You are a self-driven person with strong influencing and communication skills. You network proactively with your stakeholders and are able to communicate on all levels in the organization. You have an interest in the latest technologies in Finance field and you seek the best practices and opportunities for improvement. You speak and write excellent English. Finnish and/or Swedish is an asset.
