Development Manager, AI Solutions

About the role

As a Development Manager in the AI Solutions - team, you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing AI projects, contributing to AI strategy, and ensuring ethical AI usage to support Fortum’s business goals. Additionally, the person champions cultural change towards an AI-driven organization and oversees the complete lifecycle of AI solution development from ideation to development and implementation. Your main focus will be on Generative AI use cases.

More about the position:

• Responsible for backlog generation and prioritization of AI projects and acts as a first point of contact for AI use cases
• Contributes to AI strategy and vision within own area of responsibility, which supports Fortum’s business strategy and defines a roadmap for the future
• Acts as a project manager for AI projects to design, develop and implement them
• Ensures successful process re-engineering, change management and benefits realization for own AI projects
• Accountable for driving ethical and responsible usage of AI
• Make sure that agreed deadlines are kept according to the made work amount estimates

About you

• A University degree in any of STEM disciplines with a strong background and focus on computer science, data science, AI or a related field.
• 3-5 years of project or development management experience
• Domain understanding about Generative AI technologies and how they can be used to generate business value.
• Knowledge of ethical considerations and best practices for responsible AI usage.
• Knowledge of the complete lifecycle of AI solution development including piloting, developing, implementing and maintaining the solution and taking it into use.
• Strong ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions and drive impactful change.
• Ability to effectively visualize and communicate business and technical visions
