We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our Technical Design department in the Engineering and Projects unit, located in Keilalahti, Espoo.

 

About the Role

This is a permanent position in mechanical engineering. Our team provides essential support to our fully owned Loviisa nuclear
power plant, as well as to domestic and international customers of Nuclear Services and co-owned company governance. As a design engineer in the team, you will gain a comprehensive perspective on the nuclear power industry and have the opportunity to develop your expertise in the field. You will be an expert in mechanical engineering, working on various projects and assignments alongside colleagues and experts from other technology fields. You will have the support of experienced experts from the Engineering and Projects unit and the Loviisa power plant.

 

About you

We expect you to have experience and interest in cranes and lifting devices and working in projects as an expert in mechanical engineering. You're comfortable with performing basic design and engineering and not afraid of working in the field during maintenance breaks of our power plants.
Your role involves mechanical design and engineering tasks and also owner's engineering activities in the nuclear field, with opportunities to participate in other industrial projects. Your tasks will include engineering of modifications and renewals of equipment and steel constructions as well as piping design of nuclear power plant. You may also be part of larger delivery projects, working as a member of a multidisciplinary project team providing mechanical engineering expertise.

Your role and responsibilities will be scaled based on your competencies and work experience. This role is based in Espoo, Finland. 

 

Your Focus Areas:

  • Mechanical engineering for Loviisa NPP, domestic and international customers of Nuclear Services, as well as P2X/hydrogen projects, covering the entire power plant, engineering, and project lifecycles.
  • Utilize and develop your skills and expertise in cranes and lifting devices in owner's engineering role.
  • Based on your experience and role mentoring and guiding other experts and engineers in the team.
