Join Fortum’s Statutory and Tax Compliance team in Espoo and play a key role in ensuring compliance and supporting business growth in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. As Statutory and Tax Compliance Controller, you are responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with statutory and tax accounting process outputs as well as legal entity governance compliance with the country legislation and practices. The position is temporary parental leave substitution. 

  

About the role  

  • Ensuring legal entity compliance with financial regulations and standards in Finland, overseeing accounting process from Finnish statutory and tax point of view  

  • Preparing statutory financial statements and tax filings and coordinating the data collection process 

  • Prepare group tax reporting and forecasts 

  • Preparing, reviewing and analyzing tax and statutory data regularly during the year  

  • Coordinate and ensure collaboration in statutory audit process with relevant stakeholders 

  • Proactive collaboration with relevant stakeholders as well as provide guidance to R2R teams 

  

About you  

  • More than 5 years of work experience in accounting  

  • Equivalent degree in accounting or field of finance 

  • Deep knowledge of Finnish statutory and tax compliance, accounting & taxation 

  • Good command of Finnish and English
  • Strong analysing skills 

  • Advanced understanding of R2R processes and accounting best practices 

  • Excellent self-management skills 

  • Good collaboration and communication skills 

  • Performance and development-oriented mindset 

 

You’ll benefit from having knowledge of: 

  • Common finance tools such as Qlik and Power BI 

  • Standard MS Office applications
